The Red River Gorge Rescue Team is
made up of volunteers who provide the technical expertise for emergency first response. This team is trained in cliff line
rescue and search methods. The Daniel Boone
National Forest, Red River Gorge and the Clifty Wilderness Area
contains some of the most extreme rugged terrain in the country.
These rugged features require special techniques designed and
refined by Don Fig. During Don's service
with the US Forest Service, Don was involved in over 1,600
rescues. |
